Bob GaskinsIN MEMORY: Robert E. "Bob" Gaskins - Raleigh, NC (ATM): Bob,Vice President of TMEII and President of The Vision Team, his own company. My long time friend and business partner, Robert E."Bob" Gaskins passed away peacefully on February 6, 2015 with all of his family by his bedside. For those of you that knew Bob, you saw a man with a positive commitment to maintenance, life, his family and his faith. Bob shared his faith by being a doer of good deeds for others. For example one day Bob showed up at my home with a nice handle that he installed in our bathroom so that my 101 year old mother-in-law could pull herself up much easier. (Read More)

Marion HatekaMarion Hateka - Accra, Ghana (ATM) and VP Africa - Marion serves as Director of Training for Maintenance Excellence and overall business development in Africa. Larbi MasmoudiLarbi Masmoudi - Batna, Algeria (ATM) and VP North Africa: Larbi is a Mechanical Engineer graduate from the Algerian Petroleum Institute with over 19 years experience within the Oil & Gas industry. His experience as a maintenance and reliability professional has been with Sonatrach, the National Oil & Gas Company of Algeria as a mechanical engineer and head of the mechanical maintenance and with the SonaHess Company (J.V between Sonatrach & Hess Ltd) as a head of planning. Also he served with ENI Gas (Libya) as a planning and scheduling engineer and with Offshore Design Limited (ODL) to upgrade and rebuild CMMS (MAXIMO). He has led successful implementation of MAXIMO versions 4.1 & 5.2 and then 6.0 with a wide range of maintenance best practice knowledge. Stephen MatthewsStephen Matthews: A new Alliance Team Member, is a bilingual (English, French) lean manufacturing, operations, maintenance & reliability process improvement specialist based in Montreal. He has over 38 years of professional experience and has worked in a wide variety of industries in Canada, USA and Russia, in engineering, supervisory, management, training, facilitating and consulting roles. He has extensive experience with asset intensive industries including forest products, pulp and paper, railroad, metal & mining. Muuray WisemanMurray Wiseman - Montreal Canada (ATM): Is a new Alliance Team Member that innovates in maintenance engineering, management, and consulting, with particular focus on using maintenance and operational data to achieve reliability. He founded and operated the world's first web expert system based commercial oil analysis laboratory. As a principal consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers' Centre of Excellence in Physical Asset Management he specialized in condition-based maintenance optimization. He is a RCM practitioner. He leads projects in condition-based maintenance optimization that achieve cost effective, safe increased equipment availability. He developed, in collaboration with Carbones de Cerrejón, the groundbreaking Living RCM (LRCM) process designed to achieve reliability from data. He is President of LivingReliability Inc., a software and consulting company dedicated to strategic reliability information and knowledge management. Murray holds a B. Eng. Livingston N.C. ObasiLivingston N.C. Obasi - Lagos, Nigeria (ATM) and VP-West Africa (Eastern Countries):

Arkady CheremanovDr. Arkady Cherepanov - Moscow, Russia, (ATM): Dr. Arkady brings a diverse professional background of technical experience to TMEII. And he has a very practical solutions based approach to challenging technical problems. He has an extensive background in construction, commissioning and reconstruction of chemical, food manufacturing and power plants as a project manager. With Wimm-Bill Dann/Pepsico, he has served as Maintenance and Utilities Manager in Moscow, a dairy and beverages company with 37 plants for the execution of Supply Chain Excellence in Maintenance and Utilities area for all company plants. He has been Chief Engineer for other large operations such as Heineken Russia’s ten breweries.

Engineering infrastructure projects have included construction of electrical substations; 110 kV in the center of Saint Petersburg, 10 kV in Novosibirsk, steam power boilers in TEC-7 (SPb) and in Amur-Pivo Brewery, Patra Brewery, PIT Kaliningrad Brewery and the construction of a water treatment plant in Khabarovsk and waste water plants for Henkel in Leningrad region, for PIT Brewery in Novotroitsk and for Heineken Brewery in Ekaterinburg. In addition, he has managed numerous other projects with experience in repair and maintenance and contracting of maintenance for Lenenergo power plants and transmission networks.

Arkady has more than 30 published articles and patents that deal with energy and other resources conservation in chemical manufacturing and practical experience in management SHE systems in Heineken, Henkel and other companies. His career includes practical experience in managing technical engineering services in large multi-plant operations.

He received his PhD from the Research Institute of Rubber Industry (Moscow) and post graduate Chemical Engineering degree from Moscow Institute of Fine Chemical Technology and his Marketing Management Degree from University of Fine Mechanic and Optic (Saint-Petersburg). He holds the Professional Project Manager Certification from the Project Management Institute (Moscow charter).

Dennis DeslanterDennis Delsanter Inc. - The Villages, Florida (ATM): Dennis provides over 25 years experience in the design and implementation of reliability maintenance and manufacturing process work management systems. Some examples: With client participation Dennis has led the development of management systems for warehousing, preventive/predictive maintenance, operator based maintenance, planning, estimating, scheduling, and asset management. Diego GalarDr. Diego Galar - Spain and Luela, Sweden (ATM): Prof. Diego Galar has a Msc in Telecommunications and a PhD degree in Manufacturing from the University of Saragossa. He has been Professor in several universities, including the University of Saragossa or the European University of Madrid, a researcher in the department of design and manufacturing engineering from the University of Saragossa, a researcher in I3A, Institute for engineering research in Aragon, director of academic innovation and subsequently pro-vice-chancellor. He has also been visiting Professor in the University of Valencia, Polytechnic of Braganza (Portugal), Valley University (Mexico) and NIU (USA). In industry, he has been also technological director and CBM manager. He has authored more than hundred journal and conference papers, books and technical reports in the field of maintenance. Currently, he is working in the Division of Operation and Maintenance in LTU, Luleå University of Technology, where he is coordinating several EU-FP7 projects related to different maintenance aspects and is also involved in the SKF UTC centre located in Lulea focused in SMART bearings.

Ben Gibbs - Gibbs Equipment Management Services (GEMS), Lake Gaston, NC (ATM):  Ben Gibbs is the founder of GEMS and has over 35 years of fleet management experience including direct responsibility for the largest centrally managed highway equipment fleet (NC DOT) management operation in the USA. He has been recognized internationally and all across the USA for his ability to implement practical solution to complex and challenging fleet management improvement opportunities. As an innovator for tennis in Africa, he has coordinated events such as Serena and Venus Williams’ first joint visit to Africa. “Touching 1000 Lives” is the theme of this historical event and the Williams sisters will adopt an orphanage for sports programs while in Nigeria. Paul KleinPaul Klein, BSc., Met. Eng, MBA and Elia Schwartz, Ph.D., ME, PSE Chairman and Chief Technology Officer - Toronto, Canada (ATMs): Paul Klein is the CEO of Predictive Systems Engineering, LTD; Toronto, Canada. Paul takes part in 34 groups of professional associations in different aspects of industrial maintenance. Ashleigh Lucas, PE - Raleigh, NC (ATM): Ashleigh has over 30 years experience in the design, construction, operations and maintenance of nuclear power generation plants. As VP Nuclear Engineering, he directed the reduction of a very large percentage of contracted design work for four nuclear power plants. Achieved designer of record for all four nuclear power plants and significantly reduced the contract engineering by increasing more qualified internal staff. Frank MurphyFrank Murphy, CPMM - Inventory Management Services, Greenville, SC (ATM): is President of IMS and has over 35 years of hands-on, maintenance-intensive experience.  He founded IMS in 1995 to implement Best Practice and common-sense principles of storeroom design and setup, storage fixture selection, and parts consolidating and organizing. Harikrishnan NairHarikrishnan Muraleedharan Nair - ATM-India:Harikrishnan is an excellent resource for TMEII for helping both large and small organization get maximum value from their current CMMS/EAM systems since he is a Certified professional for MAXIMO asset management V7.1 implementation as well as being Certified as an Oracle application developer (9i). He has excellent experience in software development and deployment, to MAXIMO enterprise asset management projects as an IBM MAXIMO Certified consultant. Harikrishnan has a strong understanding of physical asset management best practices and the various MAXIMO modules like Work orders, PO, Equipments/Assets, Inventory. He has a total work experience of over 16+years in all the phases of SDLC including 6+ years (2009 to 2015) of real time experience in technical as well as functional aspects of design, development, Implementation, Upgrade, Maintenance and Customization of IBM MAXIMO in the capacity of Onsite Project coordinator/domain expert / architect / lead and as functional consultant . He has sound knowledge in a number of CMMS/EAM applications where integration with best practices is essential. He has given corporate training in EAM to SHELL (Oil & Gas) (Netherlands) and Project Management by Capgemini Consultants (India). Harikrishnan has also been involved in design and development of applications in VB, JAVA and ASP for various projects during 1997 April to April 2000. Harikrishnan has traveled to many counties and has trained and consulted successfully for many different cultures while leading his clients toward achieving Class A CMMS/EAM installations.

Roland NewhouseIN MEMORY:Roland Newhouse - Newhouse Associates, Athens, GA (ATM): A long time personal friend, coworker from Tompkins Associates Inc. and one of TMEII’s first Alliance Team Members passed away. Roland Newhouse who lived in Athens, Georgia put up a great battle when diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas and was given only four months to live. But he fought the good fight and passed away October 7, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving wife Kay, son Donald and daughter Andrea. He will sincerely be missed by TMEII and his many friends and relatives.

Andrews Nyantakyi - Kumasi, Ghana (ATM): Andrews, an aspiring entrepreneur, is our very first Alliance Team Member in Ghana. He brings experience in IT technologies and audio-visual productions plus serves as a business developer and researcher for TMEII. He is now a US citizen after graduation from college in the USA and serves proudly now in the US Navy as a medical corpsman.

Brian PetersBrian Peters - Raleigh, NC (ATM): Brian is a Class A superintendent and Regional Director Superintendent for three courses for a company owning a large number of top rated golf courses; Brian is a long time Alliance Team Member who leads our consulting support and TrueWorkShops designed for the Green Industry; turf grass management for sports stadiums, parks and recreation outdoor facilities, landscape construction/maintenance operations and golf course maintenance leadership. He has truly lived the “work smarter not harder” theme by “working even harder” as a golf course superintendent currently for very demanding customers now three courses.  He gained valuable experience at exclusive private courses such as Carolina Country Club, North Ridge Country Club and The Heritage. Brian’s positive continuous improvement leadership style provides positive and PRIDE-in-Maintenance attitudes along with results for our growing list of potential Green Industry clients. Brian is also Co-Founder of Adventurers for Special Needs a registered non-profit organization.

Lee Peters, PE - Project Leader Inc, Indianapolis, IN (ATM): Lee consults in project strategy, quality, performance, risk, and leadership. He delivers experienced change methodologies to create beneficial growth and development. Since 1972, he has had experience with capital projects in eight chemical process facilities; maintenance management in fifteen chemical plants; and research or product development with four corporations. Lee integrates strategic planning, perpetual improvement of critical processes, organizational development, management systems, safe and effective operations, productive teams and profit improvement into project planning, execution and control.

Carla ReedCarla Reed, South Africa (ATM): Carla Reed founded New Creed in 2001. Tom Rhyne - Rhyne & Associates, Apex, NC (ATM): Tom has had a professional career of 25+ years, began specializing in procurement and materials management for a large manufacturing operation. He expanded his professional skills base by serving in materials management positions involving large scale purchasing, inventory management, warehousing, accounting, special projects and management. Experience includes large and small power plants, electrical and steam plant generation, fleet maintenance operations, university and state government purchasing and warehousing. Tom also has broad CMMS experience beginning at defining functionality needs through successful implementations. He has integrated material identification, nomenclature standards, storeroom best practices and MRO warehousing modernization to generate well documented savings and regulatory compliance of MRO materials in NC’s largest nuclear power plant.

Sergio RossiSergio Rossi - RP4M>, Mansfield, TX (ATM): Sergio founded RPM4M in 2000, after having worked as a plant engineer, a maintenance manager, a corporate reliability manager and a senior engineer in the food, plastics, and aerospace industries. He learned, hands-on, how to implement Continuous Improvement Processes such as TPM, RCM, OBM, and PdM. After experiencing these implementations, he saw the need to simplify, adapt, and improve existing approaches while creating new processes exclusively developed for solving all machine related issues. His vision was to become a complete and single provider of an integrated maintenance, reliability, and performance solution for minimizing reactive maintenance losses in machine-critical manufacturing industries. Finite Element Manufacturing (FEMsm), a process proven to minimize downtime, was the final result of his development efforts.

Elia SchwartzElia Schwartz,Ph.D., ME, and Paul Klein,BSc., Met. Eng, MBA; Toronto, Canada (ATMs): Elia Schwartz is PSE Chairman and Chief Technology officer for Predictive Systems Engineering, LTD. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and has taught at different colleges of the prestigious Technion University in Haifa. Israel. Elia has published 15 papers and holds several patents. For the last twenty years he was engaged in Israeli High Tech Industry. He served as a General Manager and Project Leader in Binam Systems, an Israeli industrial control company. He is a cofounder of Predictive Systems Engineering Ltd., and coauthor of PSE’s patents. His research interest involves the signal processing, artificial intelligence, compressor dynamics and real time measurement of rotating and machinery parameters. His industrial and academic activity gives him a unique insight into the relationship between mechanical components in rotating machinery. The last 20 years of R&D and consulting have provided Elia with expertise in the field of smart diagnostics sensors, interpretation of machine health signatures and prognostics of machine remained life cycle. Doug SmithDoug Smith - Abundant Solutions, Washington, DC (ATM): Supports your need for performance reporting, data analysis and dash boards. Doug is a widely recognized guru and certified Excel MVP. He is the primary creator and co-presenter for one of our newest TrueWorkShops; Operations, Reliability & Maintenance Data Analysis for Engineers (ORMDAE). He is a graduate Nuclear Engineer from Georgia Tech and clearly understands how to "convert your current "sea of data" into real information "you can see and use". Doug is currently supporting the enhancement of existing TMEII benchmarking and productivity tools such as a software version of The ACE Team Process for Estimating Maintenance Work, which is a TMEII exclusive and guiding the development of new software tools for release in late 2009. Like many other Alliance Team members, Doug Smith has been a long-time good friend and has supported the evolution of TMEII since day one. Thomas StuenkelThomas Stuenkel - Bratislava, Slovakia & Panama City, Republic of Panama (ATM): Thomas brings outstanding knowledge to support our Effective Shutdown, Turnaround, Outage Management (STO) session with over 20 years of work experience in commissioning and start-up in different industries.

He works as a commissioning engineer and commissioning manager in water treatment plants, polypropylene plants, propane dehydrogenation plants, sulfuric acid plants, coal fired power stations and solar-grade silicon production facilities.

Thomas has as well extensive knowledge in document management; in material management, in project management and many different control systems.

As an Alliance Team Member, Thomas provides you with an excellent commissioning & start-up training, at the place of your choice, worldwide. His business as The Commissioning Coach and his company Commissioning Coaching Consulting, Inc. brings great practical experience to this new course for TMEII. Thomas holds a degree in industrial electronics from the University of Applied Science in Eisleben, Germany.

Joao Cid ToresJoão Cid Tôrres - Portugal, (ATM): João Cid Tôrres has over 28 years experience in maintenance of power plants (Conventional Power plants on HFO and Coal, Diesel Engines, Combined Cycle Power Plants on NG) in Portugal and Macao-China; having started as mechanical engineer (turbines and boilers) since 1999 developed his activity as Maintenance Manager; with good knowledge on Maintenance Management, CMMS (SAP and Maximo), and Outsourcing (Maintenance Contracts).

João Cid Tôrres tem mais de 28 anos de experiencia em manutenção de Centrais Térmicas (Convencionais  FUEL-ÓLEO E A CARVÃO, Motores Diesel, Ciclo Combinado a GN) em Portugal e em Macau- China; tendi iniciado a sua actividade como engnheiro mecânico (de turbinas e de caldeiras) desde 1999 desenvolveu a sua actividade como Chefe de departamento de Manutenção; com bons conhecimentos de gestão da Manutenção, CMMS (SAP e Máximo) e de subcontratação (Contratos de Manutenção).

Brahim ToubiBrahim Toubi - Algiers, Algeria and Calgary, Canada (ATM): Mr. Toubi joins The Maintenance Excellence Institute (TMEII) as Senior Oil and Gas Director for consulting and training services. He has had extensive experience in Oil and Gas Industries: Operations leadership roles include serving as overall site leader, Production Superintendent, HSE Advisor, well testing, rigless operations, construction/project supervisor, commissioning and start-up of production facilities, as well as having very successful logistics and procurement experience. He has had excellent performance in public and administration relationships and organizing Production Training Courses.

As a TMEII Alliance Team Member, he brings 37 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in Algeria and others countries, working for major international companies such as SONATRACH (Algeria), TOTAL, REPSOL, and for Dietsmann for Ocelot Energy. He has managed and led large oil and gas plants with good communication and persuasion skills including an LPG operation in Algeria with multi-ethnic employees (company & contractors) from various nationalities. 

He managed the GTFT plant/facilities (Algerian Association: Sonatrach /Total & Repsol) with a high level production of Natural Gas, LPG and Condensate with important Gas production wells and an array of pipelines. He led the HSE MS implementation and development, was leader of Emergency Management System, and responsible for production targets. He served as a member of the corporate executive committee.

His direct Logistics and Supply Chain Manager experience was for an LPG Plant providing preparation and follow-up of services contracts, procurement of spare parts and consumables, negotiation with suppliers, and managing all means for transportation.

As a Hydrocarbons Production Engineer and HND, he graduated from the Algerian Petroleum Institute. He has also completed an extensive number of technical professional development courses in the USA, France, Japan, and Great Britain. He speaks three languages fluently; English, Arabic and French.
